Un fin de semana que fue chingon y pocamadre!

Alright ladies and gentlemen! I really have to apologize for not writing the last weeks! But I had to fulfill my tasks as a student, so I unfortunately had a lot of homework, projects and exams to do. Besides the bunch of work I had to do, I also had to travel and all the stuff together was probably the reason why I didn’t blog anymore. But since there were a few requests I decided to continue to write this week. Maybe with more pictures than text, but I don’t think that you mind, because sometimes pictures can describe more than thousand words :-)

Well then I start with our trip to Tulum and Akumal. It was a very beautiful and very casual (or how the Mexicans would say “tranquilo”) trip. We were altogether eleven people with a rented minivan to go there. We started at the 17th of August during the early morning to get there. Somehow a Mexican road trip always includes beer, even if it starts early in the morning :-D

A few hours later we arrived in Tulum at our camping place which was quite amazing, because there were just a few people. Generally the people we stayed were backpackers and travelers around the world. So the atmosphere was also very special and absolutely not touristic at all! And now I remember that I charged my camera all night and I guess accidently I pushed the power-button when we stepped into the car. So when I wanted to take pictures I could because the battery was low. But I asked everyone else to also take some pictures of and for me so I can still provide you some!

I guess a lot of people know this pictures from facebook yet, but for all the others - try to find me! ;-)

Taking a break from trying handstands!
Singing songs about the ADO (the mexican bus network all over the country)!

I tried my best, but its not as easy as it seems :-)

Mica, Amélie, Julien, Adrian, Nadine, Me, Adrian, Melanie, Bettina and Louise - good friends!

The camping place was well located, like 30 meters from the beach! So we really could enjoy our time. You could even sleep outside at the beach during the night, but since I just had a very thin sleeping bag made of silk, it wasn’t really warm because of the wind plus I didn’t want to get a cold! So I just decided to stay in our tent. Well but by no reason (or maybe my inner-clock), I awoke very early before the sunrise and I got out the tent to take pictures of it! Luckily I took my phone with me and I didn’t had to wake someone up :-) But also by and by the people awoke and joined me for the beautiful view.

I guess almost everybody knows that i don't get up in the morning, but this moment was totally worth it!

Speechless!

Afterwards we got our stuff together and hit the road again – somehow unfortunately, because it was just one day at the beach of Tulum. But when first headed to the ruins of Tulum I almost forgot about the beach we stayed because the view was so amazing and awesome! Actually I can’t describe it in words, just take a look at the pictures!

Smile for the camera!

Amazin, I could hug the world! :-)

These are the only ruins located directly at the sea!

Tulum, the ruins!

Unfortunately we had a little hurry because our timeschedule was quite tight. we wanted to go to Akumal and go for snorkeling! This was also a great experience because we went snorkeling and we saw old cannons under water, turtles, stingrays and lots of other small fishes and of course the riffs!

And best thing, I almost forgot! We saw a huge female turtle who wanted to dig a hole for the eggs, it was directly heading to the tents. So unfortunately we couldn’t watch it digging the hole and the whole procedure. But at least we saw a huge turtle. In order not to confuse the turtle we must not take pictures with flash, so I just have a few where you can hardly recognize it, if you know it’s a turle! This moment was also very stunning and some kind of a miracle :-)

The turle moving towards our camp
Well and when I just browse through the pictures there is another story to tell. Its actually all messed up in my head, because the trip was five weeks ago. But whatever. In the afternoon there were some dogs and we played football, all of a sudden the dogs wanted to play – somehow obvious. And a quite a lot of time we had great fun with them, until accidently the dog mama bit Adrian in the hand during he wanted to catch the ball. So he had quite a big bite in his hand of the canine tooth (=Eckzahn). So in order to prevent an infection the Adrians had to go to the hospital to get a few stiches. But in the end it wasn’t a very dangerous injury but a bad accident which fortunately didn’t cut the weekend!

Oh que pasó? Medicine for Adrian!
It was amazing - thanks to the Adrians who organized the trip!

Next entry follows! :-)
