Er fragte mich: „Do you mind if we just go to my office? I have a bunch of things to do!” and I just said: “No buddy, just go there, whatever you need to do! I am eventually lucky to be here, so don’t mind!” Well we then just talked about the days in Cancun and what I am going to study in Merida and stuff. And he just told me that he has a business running, called “Crashing Merida” and that they are planning a few parties for the semester! I just thought, great I am at the right place now! :-) Then we stopped at his office – he is a head of a clothing factory as well. So just got my first impressions about Mexicans are working: like they are listening really loud Spanish Hip Hop, RnB and Salsa music, vans are everywhere because of the heat and they maybe have a simple work to do, but they seem actually happy to have a job and that they are able to work (it is just my impression, but I think it’s really like this). Afterwards we just hit the road again and we drove to his houses which he rents to students. These are really amazing houses, with about six to nine rooms and hardly anyone has to share a bathroom, everyone has a queen-size bed and a walk-in closet. So I was very impressed but these buildings!

Well then we got to another house which is yet under construction, he met with an architect and they just discussed a few things, I didn’t really got what they talked about, but it seems that Ferdy has a few great plans in mind! And then there were Marc, an elderly man who is working for Ferdy, he just made a break and came up to me to talk to me. The first time I talked Spanish in Merida, and it was very difficult. Because there was a fishing net next to me he started to talk about fishing in Mexico and stuff. I hardly could understand what he meant, but it was a little adorable to talk with him because he made such an effort to talk to me :-)!

Amazing mood at sunset - our neighborhood.

Chalres closely on the top of the world :-)
Writing on my blog an stuff.

My room to stay for a while :-)

My comfortable bed!

On the top - don't ask me how i did this, i don't even know it by myself :-)

Hurricaneseason - it's not as dangerous as it sounds, just a lot of rain!

That could be my closet, but it isn't! It wouldn't even have so much clothes with me!
Mica and Morgan relaxing at the pool.

Afterwards Ferdy was ready and took the architect and me to his office again, because he had some stuff to do again. There I first realized that time (and probably money) doesn’t really play a big role in their life. I guess the architect and me, we waited there for about 20 minutes in the car, while it was turned on. But then I was finally dropped off at the place I am staying until the 26th of July. Then I can move to the other place I am going to stay for the rest of my semester.

So I just took a shower and laid on the bed to read a little bit. All of a sudden I heard a noise and I thought it was the door. So I got up to have a look! Well, it was the door, but not Ferdy, I just came downstairs and there was a stranger sitting on the table. At this point I actually have to mention, that we cannot lock the door, because we have no keys yet! :-D So I just thought: “Who the hell is this and what is he doing in this house?!” But instead of being unfriendly I just introduced myself and so I met Tommy one of Ferdys friends who is a co-operator at “Crashing Merida” and the houses. He was very friendly and his English was quite good, so we started a conversation.

He didn’t know when Ferdy will be at the house, so we just jumped into his car and drove to the building I will stay from the 26th of July. We just looked at it from the outside, but it looked as good as the house I am living in right now! Then we just drove back and he explained the city a little bit to me, because on the map you can just see "Calle 1", "Calle 2", "Calle 3" until "Calle 60" or something. So I can’t really orientate me right now, but I think this will work in a few weeks! But it was good to get it a little bit explained.

Done that, Ferdy was just waiting for us at the house with Tavo a friend of him whos origin is the north of Mexico, he moved here, because in the city he lived, there is a lot of trouble around and so he moved to Merida! Altogether we got then in the car, except Tommy, he left us. We were on our way to pick up Charles from the airport in Merida. Actually he should arrive on 23:15, but at the airport we just got the message, that the flight was delayed but no one knew how long. So we just waited until someone told us through the speakers at the airport, that the flight has a delay of one hour. We were all some kind of pissed of, because we actually just wanted to pick him up and grab a beer and have something to eat then. Well we let the beer away and just got something to eat in an OXXO-store, which has opened 24/7. Done that, we got back to pick him up. Tavo was the poorest guy, because it lasts for about another 30 minutes and he had to get up at 5 in the morning. So we drove him home and picked up another friend of Ferdy. Anto just took a few drinks with him for us to have a nice evening and chill out a little bit. It was a little bit weird then, because all of a sudden the guys started to speak French. In the first place Ferdy told me, that he can speak a little French and I thought he was just kidding – haha, he wasn’t :-D but it was ok, they changed the language again, I guess he just wanted to show off a little bit! :-)

And by the way, i don't want to show off with my English, it was just easier to tell the story like that, because we talked a lot of English and i was just used to talk and write English :-)
